Hupp and Wright hop on that ol' pilot pony

Untitled comedies on CBS and FOX have landed a pair of actresses to show their maternal sides.

Over on CBS, Sarah Wright has joined the cast of the untitled Scott Silveri comedy. Wright joins an ensemble that already includes John Cho, Phillip Vadem, Leslie Grossman, Josh Meyers and J.D. Walsh as regular graveyard shift customers at a 24-hour diner.

Wright will play a waitress at the diner, a young woman working the midnight-6 a.m. shift in order to spend days with her son.

Most recently seen on The CW's "7th Heaven," Wright's credits include FOX's "Quintuplets" and "The Loop."

Meanwhile, Jana Marie Hupp will co-star in FOX's untitled Victor Fresco comedy about a young boy navigating life with the help of his wacky grandfather (Tom Conti). Hupp will play the boy's mother, stepping in for the previously cast Andrea Parker, who has been suffering from laryngitis, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hupp is best known for her time as Nancy on NBC's "Ed."
