LeBron James, Seth Rogen Set for 'SNL'
NBA star hosts season premiere; Rogen on Oct. 6
This time, though, he'll likely have a little more support from the players around him.
James, who's arguably the most recognizable face in the NBA today, will be joined by hip-hop star Kanye West on the premiere, which is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29. "SNL" has also lined up "Knocked Up" star Seth Rogen and Spoon for Oct. 6 and Jon Bon Jovi and the Foo Fighters for Oct. 13.
"Saturday Night Live" enters its 33rd season on NBC with a cast -- Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Bill Hader, Darrell Hammond, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kenan Thompson and Kristen Wiig -- that remains intact from last year. This season will be Hammond's 13th with the show, the longest tenure in "SNL" history.
James will be the first athlete to host a season premiere since Charles Barkley did the honors in September 1993. West will be making his second appearance as musical guest, two years after performing on the 2005 premiere.
Both Rogen and indie rockers Spoon will be making their "SNL" debuts on Oct. 6. On Oct. 13, Jon Bon Jovi will host for the first time (he's been a musical guest three times in the past) and also perform with his bandmates, giving the episode a musical double bill alongside the Foo Fighters.
