'Smallville' Clone Checks out 'Rich Girls'
Michael Cassidy has been cast in a CW pilot
The 25-year-old actor has been cast in the CW's drama "How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show revolves around the adventures of a young, Yale-educated woman who is hired to tutor two Palm Beach heiresses. Cassidy has been cast as the woman's boyfriend.
"Rich Girls" is written by Rina Mimoun and comes from Warner Bros. and Ally.
On the seventh season of "Smallville," Cassidy played Grant Gabriel, the editor of the Daily Planet and long-lost younger brother of Lex Luthor. When he discovered that he was only a clone imprinted with memories of his past, he was killed by an assassin hired by Lex. Cassidy also starred as Cliff on The CW's short-lived "Hidden Palms" and on "The O.C." as Zach Stevens, a rival for Summer's (Rachel Bilson) affections.
