Helms will be one of three new faces at Dunder Mifflin in the coming season. Rashida Jones and Chip Esten have also been cast in recurring roles on the Emmy-nominated NBC series.

Helms will play an employee of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin run by Michael Scott (Carell). He's been a "Daily Show" correspondent since 2002, working with Carell for the first three of those years. Helms will also co-star with Carell in the feature film "Evan Almighty," due next year.
Esten ("Whose Line Is It Anyway?," "Party of Five") will play Josh Porter, the manager of another Dunder Mifflin office. He guest-starred in the "Valentine's Day" episode of the show last season.
Jones, the daughter of music legend Quincy Jones, will be playing another Scranton-branch worker. Her credits include "Boston Public," TNT's "Wanted" and the feature "Little Black Book."
