Tom Everett Scott, Arija Bareikis join John Wells drama
Tom Everett Scott and Arija Bareikis have joined the ensemble cast of the NBC drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show follows the lives and work of a group of police officers in Los Angeles; the cast includes Ben McKenzie, Regina King, Shawn Hatosy, Michael Cudlitz, Kevin Alejandro and Michael McGrady.
Scott's character is a detective who's partnered with King's character in the Hollywood division and is also a married father of three. Bareikis will play a uniformed officer with a teenage son.
Scott has worked with Wells in the past, appearing in a recurring role on "ER" several seasons back. He's currently at work on Disney's "Race to Witch Mountain," a remake of the 1970s movie "Escape to Witch Mountain"; other recent credits include "Because I Said So" and recurring roles on "Cashmere Mafia" and "Law & Order."
Bareikis co-starred in Sidney Lumet's "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" last year. She also starred in the short-lived FOX series "The American Embassy" and has appeared on "Crossing Jordan" and "Oz."
