Trump to Carolyn: You're Fired
'Apprentice' sidekick gets the boot
Kepcher, a Trump employee who became known to millions of TV viewers on "The Apprentice," no longer works for the Trump Organization. She had been the COO and general manager for two of Trump's golf properties, one in New York and one in New Jersey.
The New York Post broke the story of Kepcher's sacking, which it says happened earlier this week. One source tells the paper that Kepcher had become "a prima donna" as a result of her notoriety.
"Being on 'The Apprentice' went to her head. She was no longer focused on business," the unnamed source says.
A Trump spokesperson confirmed to CNNMoney.com that Kepcher, 36, no longer works for Trump but had little else to say on the subject.
Ivanka Trump, The Donald's daughter, is in line to replace Kepcher as one of her dad's lieutenants on the sixth season of "The Apprentice." The show has been filming in Los Angeles, where Trump is developing another golf course, this summer and is scheduled to return to NBC at midseason.
Ivanka appeared on several episodes of the show last season, as did her brother Don Jr. He's expected to take a greater role on "The Apprentice" this season as well, although George Ross, Trump's New York-based counsel, will still make a few appearances.
