ABC's 'Unusuals' Adds 'O.C.' Veteran
Plus, FOX gives a pilot order to 'Eva Adams'
Bob DeLaurentis, who was an executive producer of the FOX soap, will join "Unusuals" creator Noah Hawley as an executive producer and showrunner, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Elsewhere, FOX has ordered a pilot called "Eva Adams" from "Journeyman" creator Kevin Falls.
"The Unusuals" centers on the oddballs who populate a New York City police precinct; it stars Amber Tamblyn, Harold Perrineau, Adam Goldberg and Terry Kinney. It's Hawley's first effort as a series creator; he previously worked as a writer and co-producer of "Bones."
FOX, meanwhile, has given a pilot order to "Eva Adams," which is about a dog of a guy who, thanks to a witch's spell, is transformed into a woman and has to experience the advances of guys like his former self. It's based on an Argentinean telenovela called "Lalola."
The project has been on FOX's radar for a while and was one of several pilots, along with the Ryan Murphy dramedy "Glee" and dramas "Lie to Me" and "Courtroom K," that were put on a fast development track earlier in the summer.
