Vincent D'Onofrio and wife expecting a child this winter

Vincent D'Onofrio is expecting a bundle of joy this winter.

The "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" actor and his wife Carin van der Donk are expecting a second child together, reports People.

"We're very excited," says the 48-year-old actor. The sex of the baby wasn't revealed.

D'Onofrio has a daughter, Leila George, with actress Greta Scacchi. After this relationship ended, he married van der Donk in 1997. Their first child, son Elias Gene, was born in 1999.

The family lives in New York, where "Law & Order: CI" is filmed. On the USA Network show, D'Onofrio plays Det. Robert Goren.
