Pilots: FOX Moves West From E.R. to Courtroom
Bierko and Jones also land FOX pilot gigs
The drama focuses on the lives and loves of a group of Supreme Court clerks, including those played by West, Zachary Knighton ("The Hitcher") and Leslie Odom Jr. ("Big Day").
In addition to his gig as Ray Barnett on the long-running NBC medical drama, West's credits include ABC's "Once and Again" and the features "Get Over It" and "A Walk to Remember."
Also at FOX, Craig Bierko and Rashida Jones will take two of the leads in the comedy "The Rules of Starting Over." Bierko plays a newly single man entering the dating pool and relating to his similarly divorced friends. Jones will play a lawyers looking for a good man, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Bierko, recently seen on the big screen in "Scary Movie 4" and "For Your Consideration," has a recurring role on ABC's "Boston Legal."
Jones is in the midst of a love triangle as a recurring player in NBC's "The Office" (try not to draw conclusions about the fate of the Karen-Jim-Pam troika). Her other TV work includes "Wanted" and "Boston Public."
In other FOX pilot casting news, Malcolm Barrett ("Kelsey Grammer Presents: The Sketch Show"), W. Earl Brown ("Deadwood") and Riki Lindhome ("Gilmore Girls") have been added to "The Minister of Divine," about a former wild child (Kirstie Alley) who returns to her hometown as a minister.
