William H. Macy Is TNT's 'Family Man'
Actor co-wrote the script with the pilot's director
The actor and his writing partner Steven Schachter received TNT's green light for their one-hour drama pilot "Family Man," which will star Macy in the title role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show centers on Todd Becker (Macy), who is a model citizen and respected father of three by day and the leader of a dysfunctional group of burglars by night.
Macy and Schacter will executive produce, with the latter directing.
The duo are essentially repeating their experience with TNT for 2002's movie "Door to Door," as writers, director and star. It earned Emmys for the script and Macy's performance.
On the big screen, Macy recently appeared in "Bobby," "Inland Empire" and "Wild Hogs."
