Rules of Engagement star David Spade is a dad.

The comedian became the father of a baby girl born on Aug. 26 in Missouri to his ex-girlfriend, Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace, reports People.

"David and Jillian have been in close contact throughout her pregnancy and he plans to go see the baby during his first break from shooting Rules of Engagement," says the actor's rep.

Spade, 44, dated Grace briefly in 2007. Earlier this year, she announced she was pregnant with the actor's baby. Spade, who is 21 years older than Grace, said he'd take responsibility if the paternity test proved he was the father of the child.

Spade has confirmed that the DNA results were positive. He is now a first-time parent.

No other details, including the baby's name, were provided.

LMAO boy it must be nice to be an actor. In a normal life Spade would be arrested if he went anywhere near Jillian but since he's rich and famous he gets to tap that...nice work if you can get it.

um, why would david spade get arrest in "normal" life? jillian grace is legal, and was still legal when she and david were together. it's not like be bailed and refused to pay child support either.

his decisions were stupid, yes, but hardly illegal.

I think Anthony meant that if Spade weren't famous, not only would he not be dating a Playboy Playmate, that he'd be the kind of guy who most hot women would not want around them. He was not referring to the girl's age.

Anyway, that's my interpretation. If that's what he meant, then I agree with him: David Spade is not the most attractive man in the world. He's physically quite small and more than a bit whiny. I will say that as he's aged he's filled out a bit and relaxed the annoying persona a touch, so he is definitely more attractive than the super whiny narrow shouldered skinny little freak he used to be on SNL years ago. But, realistically, "in the real world" the hotties wouldn't look twice at him if he weren't rich or famous.

I can see fatherhood takes a high priority in his life. Hopefully, that break comes before the kid is off to college.
