Willa Holland Goes From 'The O.C.' to 'Gossip Girl'
Willa Holland is traveling from The O.C. to New York City to stir up some trouble on Gossip Girl.
Sources close to the soapy CW drama confirm that Holland will appear in at least three Gossip Girl episodes playing Agnes, a 16-year-old model for Eleanor Waldorf Designs.
The character will cause problems for Taylor Momsen's Jenny Humphrey, most recently seen fulfilling the menial duties of a summer intern at EWD. After learning the downside of being Queen Bee last season, Jenny's trying to be good, but Agnes will attempt to lure her to the dark side.
The 17-year-old Holland is no stranger to agitating the status quo on Josh Schwartz-produced dramas, having spent a little over a season as the jailbait replacement Kaitlin Cooper on The O.C.
An experienced model and stepdaughter to Scarface director Brian DePalma, Holland's upcoming features include Chasing 3000 and Middle of Nowhere.
Also joining the Gossip Girl cast is John Patrick Amedori, playing Aaron Rose. Fans of the Gossip Girl book series will recall that hippy-dippy Aaron becomes Blair's stepbrother and dates both Serena and Vanessa. For the purposes of the series, the character is being positioned as a love interest for Blake Lively's Serena, suggesting that the Blair-Dan reconciliation in the show's second season premiere may be short-lived.
Credits for Amedori include a regular role on FOX's short-lived Vanished, as well as a supporting role in the feature Stick It.
The CW has apparently become a repository for stars of the cinematic gymnastics classic. In addition to Amedori, the netlet has become the home of Stick It star Missy Peregrym (of Reaper) and co-star Kellan Lutz (of 90210).
Strangely, The CW has shown no love to any of the stars of Gymkata.
