Jasonbiggs_lafashion06_240CBS has given a put pilot commitment to an untitled comedy project from Mitch Hurwitz.

In addition, the network has also asked for six addition scripts from the Arrested Development mastermind.

And in addition to that -- the Hollywood Reporter story is just a wealth of information -- Jason Biggs is in final negotiations to star in the comedy.

Set up through Sony Pictures TV, where Hurwitz has a deal, and CBS Paramount Network TV, where the American Pie has a deal, the comedy focuses on a group of "adult siblings and their parents who are over-involved in one another's lives."

Hurwitz will write the pilot with Arrested Development colleague James Valley and will produce along with his Tantamount partners Eric and Kim Tannenbaum. He last worked at CBS on the comedy The Ellen Show, which he co-created. Hurwitz's latest show, the animated Sit Down, Shut Up, will premiere on FOX at midseason.

Biggs, who will next be seen in the alleged comedy My Best Friend's Girl, starred in the CBS pilot I'm in Hell in the 2007 development season.

"Sit Down, Shut Up" was the working title and has long since been ditched. It will be called "Class Dismissed."

"Sit Down, Shut Up" was, indeed, a working title, but it's the working title by which the show is still known on FOX's press site. It was the working title presented to advertisers in May, the name by which FOX executives referred to the show at the TCA press tour in July and the name by which the trades have been subsequently referring to the show in all of their stories regarding its ongoing WGA tumult.

"Class Dismissed" is, if I understand correctly, *another* working title for the same show, but it has not been officially announced as its actual title.
